The Felix Gonzalez-Torres Family Archive was established in 2020 in order to enhance the artistic and personal legacy of Felix Gonzalez-Torres. The Archive supports curators, writers, researchers, and institutions by facilitating access to the family’s archive. The Archive serves as the official Gonzalez-Torres resource for research regarding Felix’s personal life.

The Archive’s advisory board is comprised of individuals who hold unparalleled knowledge regarding the life of Felix Gonzalez-Torres. Core members provide continuous support on matters of biographical accuracy and probity. Board members also offer guidance based on their relationship to Felix, and expertise.

The Felix Gonzalez-Torres Family Archive welcomes exhibition proposals from qualified institutions to borrow material from the Archive for exhibition, and it makes its archive accessible to researchers and writers by special arrangement. The Archive is particularly interested in projects that engage, inform and catalyze change in LGBTQ and AIDS issues, as well as exhibitions that consider how archival practice can be integrated further within current discourses of theory and art history.
